Terms & SMS Policy
The service
MatrixSMS is a private messaging inbox operated by Matrix Anchor. It lets authorized users send and receive text messages through their own Twilio account and phone numbers. Accounts are created by an administrator; by signing in you agree to these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree to use MatrixSMS only for lawful messaging and to comply with all laws that apply to text messaging, including the U.S. Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), CAN-SPAM where relevant, carrier rules and Twilio's Acceptable Use Policy. You must not send spam, unlawful, threatening, deceptive or harassing content, and you must not message people who have not agreed to hear from you or who have opted out. You are responsible for the content you send and for keeping your login secure.
SMS messaging policy
Program: MatrixSMS is used by businesses and individuals to hold one-to-one text conversations with people they already have a relationship with — for example customers replying to a quote, appointment, order or service request.
- Consent (opt-in). Messages are sent only to people who have contacted the sender first, or who have given their express consent to be contacted by text, for example by providing their mobile number on a request or intake form and agreeing to receive texts about their request. Consent is not a condition of purchase, and consent to receive texts is never sold or shared.
- Message types. Conversational and transactional messages such as replies to questions, appointment and service updates, quotes and account notices. No marketing messages are sent without separate express written consent.
- Opt-out. Reply STOP to any message at any time to stop receiving texts from that number. You may receive one final message confirming your opt-out. Reply START to opt back in.
- Help. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us through matrixanchor.com/contact.
- Frequency and cost. Message frequency depends on your conversation. Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile plan. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Privacy. How we handle phone numbers and message data is described in our Privacy Policy. Mobile numbers and opt-in data are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.
Your account
Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. An administrator may suspend or remove accounts or numbers at any time, including for misuse.
Your Twilio account
MatrixSMS works with a Twilio account that you or your administrator provide. Charges from Twilio and your carrier are separate from MatrixSMS and are your responsibility. You are responsible for the registration and compliance requirements that apply to your numbers, such as A2P 10DLC registration for U.S. messaging.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the service running but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, and message delivery depends on Twilio and mobile carriers. We may change or discontinue features, and we may update these terms by changing the date above.
Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Matrix Anchor is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.
